About the Company

Our client is a successful and well-established British business that designs and manufactures premium, high-value solutions for commercial customers. The company has developed an excellent reputation for quality, innovation, and service, with its products receiving industry recognition and the business achieving a prestigious national award for its international growth and export success.

Role Overview

Due to continued development, the company is now looking to appoint a commercially driven Business Development Manager to identify and develop new opportunities across the UK. This is a consultative, project-led sales position, working with customers across a broad range of commercial, technical, and industrial sectors. You will manage opportunities from initial contact through to proposal, negotiation, and contract award, while working closely with internal design, project, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new B2B sales opportunities
  • Manage the full sales process from lead generation through to contract award
  • Attend customer meetings and site visits throughout the UK
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and commercial quotations
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Work closely with internal design, project, and operational teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reports
  • Represent the business at exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events

About You

You will be a confident and commercially minded professional with experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, or a project-led environment. You should be comfortable developing new opportunities, managing longer and more considered sales cycles, and presenting tailored solutions to customers. Experience selling premium, technical, manufactured, or project-based products would be particularly beneficial.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • A proven ability to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities
  • Confidence managing multiple sales opportunities concurrently
  • A collaborative approach when working with internal teams
  • An ability to attend site surveys and understand drawings, plans, specifications, or visual concepts would be advantageous
  • Based within approximately one hour’s commute of our client's Brackley HQ
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK, and very occasionally overseas

Salary and Benefits

  • Total first-year package of up to £50,000 OTE, depending on experience
  • Competitive basic salary plus guaranteed first-year commission
  • Percentage-based commission scheme thereafter, uncapped
