Salary: Depending on experience + Uncapped Commission
Our client is a growing and well-established international freight forwarding and logistics business, providing tailored shipping and supply chain solutions across air, sea, and road freight services.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Executive / Business Development Manager to join their expanding team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to develop new business opportunities and build long-term client relationships within the freight forwarding and logistics sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving company growth by identifying prospects, generating leads, and securing new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across international freight markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and new clients
- Focus on developing trade lanes, particularly between the USA and the UK
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing and onboarding new accounts
- Self-generate new business opportunities through cold outreach, networking, and market research
- Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and service delivery
- Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently achieve sales activity and revenue targets
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments

Key Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
- Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain is highly desirable
- Strong ability to generate new business and secure long-term clients
- Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong commercial awareness and a target-driven mindset
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a new business environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in using CRM systems (in-house system experience beneficial)
- Candidates must have demonstrable experience in freight forwarding sales or business development within the logistics industry.
