Business Development Manager

Salary: £35,000 + Company Car + Up to £1,000 Quarterly Bonus
Location: Home-based with regular travel across your territory
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday (9:00am-5:00pm)
Reporting to: Business Development Team Leader

About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to join a growing sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to develop new business, manage existing customer relationships and promote a market-leading range of dental products.

As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and growing your assigned territory, identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Managing and strengthening relationships with existing customers, buyers, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Delivering engaging product demonstrations and educational training sessions, both face-to-face and virtually
  • Launching new products through customer meetings, campaigns, and promotional activity
  • Managing customer samples and coordinating dispatches where required
  • Building and developing a strong network of Key Opinion Leaders across your territory
  • Accurately recording customer interactions, meetings, and opportunities using the CRM system
  • Attending national and international exhibitions and industry events
  • Managing monthly stock allocations
  • Supporting customers with product queries and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Completing all administration and reporting accurately and within agreed deadlines
  • Supporting the Business Development Team Leader as required

About You

We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, organised, and passionate about building long-term customer relationships.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in Business Development, Field Sales, or B2B Sales
  • A proven ability to generate new business while managing existing customer accounts
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, including experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • A full UK driving licence

Dental industry knowledge would be advantageous but isn't essential, as full product training will be provided.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Winning new customer accounts
  • Growing and developing your assigned territory
  • Making a significant contribution to the continued success of the business

Working Hours

35 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Standard working hours are 9:00am-5:00pm
Home-based working is supported, with regular travel to customer meetings
