I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is a role with real autonomy. You will run the territory as your own business, building distribution, visibility, and long-term customer partnerships across the on-trade, wholesale, and convenience sectors. The brief is clear and commercially meaningful: grow presence, win new space, and make the brand unmissable where it matters. If you enjoy being out in the market, value trust over transaction, and want a role where performance is visible and rewarded, this is the kind of opportunity that doesn’t come around often.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning and growing the Northwest region with full accountability for distribution, visibility, and NSV.
- Building deep, credible relationships with IFT customers, wholesalers, and key regional operators.
- Winning new business while protecting and growing existing accounts against strong local competition.
- Executing seasonal and regional activation that drives the rate of sales and repeat orders.
