Content Acquisition Professional – UK & Ireland

We are looking for a thoughtful, motivated professional to join our Content Acquisition team. This role will partner closely with archives, historical institutions, genealogy communities, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, acquire, and bring valuable historical records to Ancestry members across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The ideal candidate must be:

  • Adaptable
  • Collaborative

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of building strong external relationships
  • Proficient at managing complex projects

Your Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with:

  • Archives

  • Government entities

  • Historical institutions

  • Genealogy organisations

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate opportunities for:

    • Historical content acquisition
    • Licensing agreements
  • Lead content acquisition projects across:

    • Discovery
    • Digitisation
    • Publication
    • Launch

Who You Are

Experience & Expertise

  • 5+ years in any of the following:
    • Business development
    • Partnerships
    • Content acquisition
    • Licensing (or related fields)

    • Analytical thinking

Desirable Experience

  • Previous work with:
    • Archives
    • Government agencies
    • Cultural institutions
