About The Role
A fantastic opportunity to join a company at the forefront of hydrogen fuel cell innovation, powering the transition to zero-emission aviation.
As Business Development Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of new business opportunities for Intelligent Energy within lower power fuel cell aerospace applications. This includes:
- Emerging and high-growth markets such as heavy-lift drones
- eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing)
- CS-23 aircraft
You’ll act as the internal subject matter expert for these sectors—bringing together commercial insight and technical understanding to:
- Influence strategy
- Shape product direction
- Secure long-term partnerships
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and win new business opportunities across aerospace fuel cell applications
- Build and grow strategic, long-term customer relationships to drive sustainable revenue growth
- Act as the internal market expert
- Provide input into commercial strategy and technical roadmaps
- Develop a deep understanding of aviation fuel cell challenges
- Position Intelligent Energy’s solutions effectively
- Collaborate closely with:
- Internal engineering teams
- External customers to define and deliver tailored solutions
- Support the development of:
- Partnerships
- Proposals
- Commercial agreements

Requirements
You’re commercially driven, technically credible, and excited by the opportunity to shape a fast-evolving market.
Exrequired Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in business development or commercial roles within:
- Aerospace
- Energy
- Advanced engineering
- Strong understanding of aerospace markets (e.g., drones, eVTOL, or light aircraft)
- Ability to bridge commercial and technical discussions with credibility
- Experience in:
- Building partnerships
- Delivering complex, long-cycle deals
- A proactive, opportunity-led mindset with a focus on delivering results
