WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Business Development Manager drives commercial growth across assigned international markets by leading third-party distributor partnerships and executing strategic business development initiatives. In this role, you serve as a subject matter expert in international commercial strategy, distributor management, market development, and the Osteoarthritis Pain Management and Regenerative Solutions portfolios while delivering sustainable revenue growth in complex global healthcare markets.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Drive revenue growth across the Osteoarthritis Pain Management and Regenerative Solutions product portfolios within assigned international territories.
  • Lead distributor performance through strategic business planning, sales execution, training, and ongoing commercial support.
  • Collaborate with regionally focused Business Development Directors to develop and execute country-specific growth strategies.
  • Identify and capitalize on market expansion opportunities, including new distributor partnerships and territory development.
  • Navigate reimbursement, procurement, and market access pathways to maximize commercial success.
  • Lead product launch activities and ensure effective market positioning and adoption.
  • Monitor distributor performance, contract compliance, sales forecasts, and business metrics, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors through regular communication, joint business planning, and performance reviews.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Regulatory, Marketing, Clinical, and other internal teams to support product registrations and commercial initiatives.
  • Support industry trade shows, medical education programs, distributor meetings, and customer events.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to increase product awareness, clinical adoption, and market growth.
  • Serve as the commercial and clinical subject matter expert for assigned product portfolios.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

WHAT IT TAKES

This position operates in a dynamic international commercial environment where success requires balancing multiple priorities across diverse markets with varying reimbursement, regulatory, procurement, and competitive landscapes. The role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and sound judgment to identify growth opportunities, optimize distributor performance, and build long-term customer relationships. Success depends on the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, manage complex commercial negotiations, and effectively collaborate across cultures while delivering sustainable business growth.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of commercial leadership experience within the medical device industry.
  • Experience managing international business portfolios with demonstrated revenue growth and commercial success.
  • Strong understanding of international reimbursement, market access, procurement, and healthcare systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated success developing strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and closing complex commercial opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and business planning skills, including proficiency with Excel-based commercial models.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing initiatives, and consistently deliver results.
  • Strong intercultural communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 50%.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Orthobiologics, Joint Preservation, or Viscosupplementation markets.
  • Experience managing third-party distributor networks across international markets.
  • Experience launching new medical device products in global markets.
  • Knowledge of international regulatory and product registration processes.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional commercial, regulatory, marketing, and clinical teams.
  • Fluency in one or more additional languages relevant to assigned international markets.
