Business Development Manager - Joinery/Interior Fit out

Location: London

Salary: Negotiable

Cavendish Professionals are currently working with a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-profile projects across the commercial, hospitality, residential, and interior fit-out sectors. Renowned for their commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation, they are looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and securing strategic projects that align with the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across the construction, interior fit-out, and joinery sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM management.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), tender opportunities, and wider business development activities.
  • Represent the business at networking events, industry functions, and client meetings to raise brand awareness and generate opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to support the company's strategic growth plans.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Director, estimating, commercial, and delivery teams to maximise tender success.

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Business Development role within the construction, interiors, or fit-out industry.
  • Experience within high-end residential and/or hospitality fit-out would be highly advantageous.
  • An established network of industry contacts with the ability to generate and convert new business opportunities.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify valuable opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
  • Confident engaging with clients, consultants, and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and results-driven.
