Poised for significant growth in 2026 through company acquisitions and new business, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to embrace our obsession with customer acquisition and help deliver the next chapter in the Guru Technology story. You will take responsibility for bringing on new business with our hosted and broadband portfolio of products.

Role Description

The Business Development Manager role is a full-time role. The role involves identifying and engaging potential business clients, developing new sales opportunities across mobile, telephony, and connectivity solutions, and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to closure. The Business Development Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, collaborate closely with marketing and technical teams, and prepare proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conducting market research
- Attending client meetings
- Tracking performance against targets
- Providing regular reports and insights to management
The role also requires representing Guru Technology at local events and networking opportunities to grow brand visibility and generate leads.
Qualifications
- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and closing deals.
- Client relationship management and account management skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships.
- Knowledge of mobile solutions, cloud-based telephony, and connectivity services, or a strong willingness to learn these domains.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple prospects and accounts in a full-time schedule.
- Comfort engaging face-to-face with customers and partners.
- Previous experience in telecoms, IT, or technology-related business development is advantageous.
- Relevant education in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
