Due to growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to be fully responsible for the entire sales cycle, from lead generation through to close within the UK. This position is well-suited to a consultative, relationship-builder who is confident presenting, both face-to-face and virtually, within a corporate environment.

ABOUT YOU We are seeking a commercially driven sales and business development professional with proven experience across the chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, and related sectors. With a strong background in value-based selling and client retention, I excel at understanding complex client needs and translating them into tailored, results-focused solutions.

Required skills and experience: Proven experience in sales or business development within chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, or related sectors Background in consultancy or experience working for a competitor is highly desirable Strong capability in needs analysis, value-based selling, and client retention Able to quickly assimilate technical knowledge and communicate complex expertise clearly and confidently Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles Self-motivated, commercially driven, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK. This role will play a key part in identifying, developing, and converting new client opportunities while building long-term, strategic relationships across multiple industries.

Key activities: Identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities across target sectors Manage complex, consultative sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract close Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships across the UK Drive renewals and upselling opportunities through strategic account management Work closely with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure credible, value-based solutions for clients Contribute to sustainable and stable revenue growth in a fast-paced, competitive environment Conducting in-person visits and engaging in cold calls to cultivate and sustain relationships Collaboration with colleagues across various business areas to maximise sales opportunities Administer in the company's CRM system and other systems linked to the responsibility
