Job Purpose

To drive sustainable business growth by developing and executing strategic business development initiatives, securing high-value projects, building long-term client partnerships, expanding market presence, and leading the sales and business development function for the structural engineering company.

Key Roles And Responsibilities As Business Development Manager

Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and implement annual business development and growth strategies.
  • Identify new markets, sectors, and revenue streams for structural engineering services.
  • Create and execute business plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with developers, contractors, architects, consultants, and government agencies.
  • Identify opportunities for geographical and sector expansion.
  • Lead the business development team to achieve company revenue and profitability targets.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Oversee key account acquisition and retention programs.
  • Drive conversion of large-scale project opportunities.
  • Lead the identification and qualification of tender opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and service agreements.

We're Looking For a Business Development Manager With

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • MBA or equivalent business qualification preferred.
  • Extensive experience in business development, sales, or commercial management within engineering, construction, or consulting sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing high-value client relationships and securing large projects.
