BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER-FUTURE LIGHTING SOLUTIONS

Job Outline:

The key responsibility of the Business Development Manager – Future Lighting Solutions (FLS) is to execute and drive strategies in the assigned territory to maximize FLS sales revenues for EMEA. You would also be required to work in conjunction with but not limited to Country Managers, Future Lighting Solutions Application Engineers, Marketing and Supplier Management to ensure strategies are aligned to maximise sales revenue and profitable growth. The BDM will be responsible to develop, manage and lead a team of FLS field resources (sales, technical and marketing) to drive business opportunities across target market segments and applications.

What the role involves:

  • Achieve goals and targets relative to target market segments, applications and customers; measured in sales, DW’s and other related metrics
  • Work with Future Lighting Solutions Management on setting annual sales budgets and identifying market LTAM’s (Lighting TAM’s)
  • Monitor sales activities and progress within the various locations and target market segments, and take action to implement changes if acceptable progress is not being made
  • Develop Account Plans with sales strategies for the identified Top Target account base to maximise penetration and conversion to FLS solutions
  • Effectively present and position the values of FLS at customers and develop senior level relationships with key customer decision makers that influence successful adoption of SSL
  • Maintain the appropriate level of management interaction within Future Electronics and relevant Suppliers to be leveraged accordingly to maximize all sales opportunities
  • Liaise with regional FLS business “associates” or “partners” and act as the primary point of contact where required (PPP’s, Philips OEM, FLS Network Members, etc.)
  • Lead their region to execute and achieve objectives and provide consistent and relevant feedback to management
  • Additional projects or duties as management at time may require

Do you have:

  • Minimum of five years sales experience, preferably educated to a degree level with experience in managing and leading a sales team.
  • 3-5 years of Solid-State Lighting experience in sales, technical solutions, marketing or strategic account management
  • Excellent communicator and interpersonal and presentation skills
  • A disciplined self-starter extremely focused on achieving the end results
  • Commercially astute, highly motivated and organised
  • Strategic and lateral thinker, able to handle tactical operational issues when required
  • Possess integrity, drive and a clear sense of service ethic
