Business Development Manager (Managed Services)
Business Development Manager (Junior, Mid & Senior roles)
Location: Sheffield Job Type: Permanent Remuneration: £35–70k base pay + double OTE

The Role
This Business Development Manager role is split 50/50 between new business growth and account expansion, requiring:
- New logo acquisition: Identify, engage, and secure enterprise clients
- Account development: Collaborate with Account Managers to uncover upsell opportunities in existing accounts
You’ll forge strategic relationships, manage complex sales, and position multi-disciplinary technology solutions addressing tangible business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive new logo acquisition in enterprise and upper mid-market segments
- Develop, implement, and monitor targeted business plans aligned with industry and solution strategies
- Collaborate with Account Managers to identify and exploit white space opportunities
- Oversee entire sales cycles: discovery → solution design → negotiation → close
- Lead consultative value-driven sales pitches, engaging C-level executives and senior stakeholders
- Work closely with Pre-Sales, Solution Architects, Projects, and Operations to deliver customised solutions
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting, and pipeline oversight
- Consistently exceed new business and revenue targets
Requirements
- Proven experience in contextual sales, with a focus on new business in IT, Managed Services, Connectivity, or Cyber Security
- Tangible record of securing new logos and closing complex, high-value solutions
- Experience selling into enterprise or upper mid-market clients
- Commercially astute, adept at spotting, developing, and winning strategic opportunities
- Ability to confidently engage C-suite decision-makers throughout consultative sales cycles
- Self-motivated, driven by performance goals, and able to manage lengthy, multifaceted sales processes
- Requires a full UK driving licence
