Business Development Manager - Foodservice
Location: North Bristol
Salary: £35-50,000 basic salary (DOE) + Uncapped Bonus + Company Car + Benefits
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join one of the UK's leading independent foodservice wholesalers.
Covering the North Bristol territory, this role offers the best of both worlds - an established, loyal customer base to develop alongside the opportunity to win new business across the region. Approximately 50% of your time will be focused on account management and customer growth, with the remaining 50% dedicated to developing new business opportunities.

The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will:
- Manage and grow an established portfolio of foodservice customers.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across your territory.
- Build strong relationships with independent restaurants, pubs, cafés, hotels, schools, care homes and other catering businesses.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand their needs and identify opportunities to increase sales.
- Present promotions, new product launches and value-added solutions.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and maximise profitability.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Manage your territory effectively to achieve sales and growth targets.

About You
We're looking for someone who is driven, personable and enjoys building long-term customer relationships.
You'll ideally have:
- At least 2 years' experience in a field sales role, with a proven track record of achieving targets in a B2B market, having sold a physical product rather than a service.
