About the Role
As the Business Development Manager – Medical Affairs Solutions, your mission is to propel IQVIA Pharma Review’s market expansion and client-centric approach in scientific content services, ensuring pharma and biotech teams can accelerate innovation, reduce regulatory risk, and enhance decision-making through precision content strategies.
Responsibilities
Scientific Content Solutions & Business Development
- Lead the growth of Pharma Review’s business in scientific content solutions, including medical review, content validation, and regulatory simplification services
- Engage pharma and biotech stakeholders to identify challenges in scientific publication, documentation, and internal communications
- Present Pharma Review’s capabilities to prospective clients, showcasing how our services address compliance, cost, and quality-impact needs
- Partner with subject matter experts to design innovative content-focused solutions tailored to client objectives
Client Engagement & Solution Development
- Develop value-proposition narratives that demonstrate the ROI of scientific content services
- Streamline proposal and solution delivery processes to align with client timelines and approvals
- Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to ensure solutions integrate technically with IQVIA’s broader clinical mechanisms
- Actively gather market insights, competitor benchmarks, and client success stories to mature offerings

Go-to-Market & Thought Leadership
- Produce sales assets, including commercial pitches, whitepapers, case studies, and social thought leadership, to promote IQVIA’s Scientific Content services
- Represent Pharma Review at industry events, conferences, and executive client meetings to expand visibility
- Drive global brand awareness of AI-enabled content creation, standardised workflows, and digital intelligence platforms in support of scientific communication

Requirements
- At least 5 years in business development, account management, medical communications, scientific content services (CROs, medical writing agencies, or related roles).
- Deep understanding of:
- Scientific communications: General Adult, patient advocacy, and medical education
- Regulatory documents: IQVIA’s use of CRIs (Composite Reporting Instruments),’hôtelvalue descriptions, and tailor-made scientific content processes
- EFPIA & ABPI guidelines (for assurance of conveying content, impact, and efficiency of submissions)
- Working knowledge of privacy (e.g., GDPR, clinicaltrial)-data management systems and ease for complex HR, payroll/technical systems
- Familiarity with AI/ML pitfalls, content platforms (Marketo, MarkLogic, or similar), or speedy-tech products (sievert, Drovery) (Cartacity, Shell, etc.) is an asset.
- Proven track record in inquiries for:
- Life sciences content (Clinical: medical writing, technical/medical journals, CDE-ready tools)
- Pipeline acceleration strategies and global content standardisation teams.
