Business Development Manager – Glenigan
Location: Bournemouth, Holdenhurst Road
Working arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week in office, 2 days from home) Basic salary: Competitive + uncapped commission OTO: £56,500 (Year 1), £70,300 (Year 2) Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
About the Role
Glenigan (powered by Hubexo) is a construction intelligence platform helping businesses spot opportunities, track market activity, and secure more projects. We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business by working with B2B decision-makers in the construction sector. This role centres on building pipeline, creating consultative opportunities, and winning new customers through value-led, sales-driven conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactive outreach: Speak with construction industry leaders and qualified prospects to build pipeline and generate leads.
- Qualification & discovery: Conduct thorough opportunity assessment to uncover commercial drivers and nurture high-potential deals.
- Value-led selling: Deliver clear, concise demos highlighting Glenigan’s market intelligence benefits over generic solutions.
- Pipeline management: Ensure at least 3x pipeline cover against quarterly targets.
- CRM hygiene: Maintain accurate Salesforce records to guarantee credible activity, pipeline reporting and forecasting.
- ** objec toions & negotiation:** Handle objections discipline and execute commercial proposals effectively.
- Collaboration: Work with Marketing & sales teams to refine messaging and conversion strategies.
- Weekly performance: Build a consistent rhythm of outreach, demos, proposals & follow-ups.
- Continuous improvement: Use coaching, feedback & performance data to refine sales approach iteratively.

About You
Essential Requirements
✔ Experience in B2B sales, business development, telesales or inside sales ✔ Enjoys new business prospecting & reaching out to appointment-driven leads ✔ Driven by targets, commission and personal growth. ✔ Ability to deliver consistent weekly output (not isolated spikes) ✔ Comfort grasping decision-makers and uncovering commercial pain points ✔ Sales conversations must focus on outcomes, not features. ✔ Disciplined CRM & forecasting coverage mindset ✔ Resilient, organised with capacity to manage a volume pipeline
Bonus Experience
(Helpful but not mandatory) ✔ Familiarity with construction, building products, tech, data, SaaS or intelligence software
