ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team. Part of the Genuit Group's Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, ADEY has ambitious growth plans to continue protecting the world's heating and cooling systems, to have a positive impact on the environment and people's lives.
The Role
This role is focused on driving area sales growth by delivering targeted sales plans across key markets, securing new business while maintaining profitability, and building strong relationships with customers, OEM partners, and merchants. It involves promoting products through presentations and events, ensuring compliance with national specifications, and using CRM and data insights to manage performance, reporting, and strategy effectively.

Responsibilities
- Achieving the required Area Sales Growth Target as per the agreed UK Residential budget.
- Devising and implementing a robust Sales Plan for the Social Housing, Regional New Build and Large Private ‘one-off’ installer markets – derived from the overarching strategy, distilled for the local customer base.
- Winning the required level of incremental Filter/ Chemical Specifications whilst maintaining business profitability.
- Work closely with key OEM & Commercial partners to achieve mutual goals.
- Expert technical knowledge of all ADEY products and services.
- Ensure compliance of National New Build Specification through nominated contractor base, providing relevant feedback and intel to the National Sales Manager.
- Deliver mutually agreed product & campaign awareness events at strategic merchant locations in-line with the Sales & Marketing plan.
- Promote social media engagement across own network.
- Contributing fully towards the sales team through reporting across business platforms.
- Delivering presentations professionally, confidently, and effectively to new and prospective customers promoting ADEY’s products, services, and Brand Values.
- Support and inform the business to evolve customer segmentation, ensuring optimised deployment of time, budget, and resources.
- Record all meeting Objectives/ Outcomes and keep all Customer details up to date via CRM making full use of the system by maximizing its capability (pipeline management, reporting, diary management).
- Provide robust return on investment rationale to qualify corporate hospitality expenditure (grow, defend, retain).
- Lead & support regional & national events/exhibitions where applicable (some evening/ weekend work may be required).
- Developing relationships with key Merchant contacts in relation to customer base across the key addressable markets.
- Complete required reporting to the business, promptly and with the required detail; as well as full utilisation of existing and upcoming BI systems, data, and insights to fuel compelling customer propositions and objective setting.
- Time management - Organise appointments in advance to maximise productivity and to make full use of your time.
- Be well prepared, presented and prompt for all appointments.
- To manage the Areas ‘Corporate Hospitality’ budget effectively and in line with the Company’s expenses policy, to maximise sales opportunities.
- Attend all required Sales Meetings and digital meetings.

The Person
Essential:
- Experience in a similar Sales role within the industry
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets on a regular basis
- Proven track record of delivering against KPIs
- Proven experience of dealing with a wide variety of people in a customer care environment
- Capable of running a sales territory successfully
- Knowledge of the heating and plumbing industry
- Confident in all Office 365 applications
- Demonstrates total integrity at all times
- Dynamic individual who can maintain and develop lasting relationships
- Superb communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels
- Excellent organisational/ time management skills
- Energetic with a strong work ethic and drive
