Business Development Manager Military

Business Development Manager – Military (Listed via Jobgether on behalf of partner in the UK)

Role Overview

This high-impact commercial role focuses on expanding life-saving medical technologies within the government and military healthcare ecosystem across EMEA. Reporting to a partner company (handling all applications), the successful candidate will drive the strategic growth of resuscitation and emergency care solutions for defense, public safety, and military organizations. Blending field sales execution with strategic market development, this is a high-autonomy position requiring engagement across complex procurement environments.

The role demands collaboration with distribution partners and internal teams to position advanced medical devices in mission-critical environments, including navigating international government procurement, tenders, and defense frameworks.   • Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

    • Build and maintain relationships with distribution partners, key military stakeholders, and defense/EMS public sector contacts.
    • Navigate RFIs, tenders, and procurement processes in international government/military frameworks.
  • Sales & Commercial Execution

    • Meet and exceed sales targets, manage pipeline forecasting, and control expenses via disciplined commercial execution.
    • Optimize CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline visibility and activity tracking.
  • Reporting & Compliance

    • Develop and update annual business plans for military/government segments, reporting on performance.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory, ethical, and industry standards in all commercial activities.

Ideal Candidate: Requirements

  • Experience
    • 2+ to 3+ years of field sales, preferably in medical devices, healthcare technology, or capital equipment.
    • Military/EMS/clinical background (e.g., paramedic, nurse, combat medic) is a strong preference.
    • Proven experience working with distribution or channel partners in high-stakes sales contexts.

    • Strong understanding of government/military procurement, especially international/NATO-related frameworks.
    • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce) for pipeline/account management.
  • Soft Skills & Attributes

    • Multilingual advantage (fluent English; Italian or French is highly desirable).
    • Willingness for extensive travel (~70%) across Southern/Mediterranean Europe.
