Business Development Manager – IT Managed Services
UK / Field-Based
£57k package, £101k uncapped OTE + Excellent Benefits
The Company
A major technology and business services provider is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its growing IT Managed Services practice.
With significant investment in managed services and a strong customer base ranging from mid-market organisations through to enterprise clients, this is an opportunity to join a recognised market leader and play a key role in driving the next phase of growth.
The Role
This is a true hunting and solution-selling role focused on developing and closing Managed Services opportunities across both existing and new customers.
Working alongside Account Managers, Pre-Sales specialists, Architects, and Service Delivery teams, you'll act as the subject matter expert for Managed Services, helping identify customer challenges, shape solutions, and secure long-term recurring revenue contracts.
You'll be responsible for generating, developing, and closing opportunities across areas including infrastructure, cloud, workplace services, support services, outsourcing, and broader managed service solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Driving new Managed Services revenue growth across an established customer base and new prospects
- Identifying, qualifying, and developing opportunities through to close
- Leading customer engagements and discovery sessions
- Delivering compelling presentations and value-based sales propositions
- Building and managing a healthy pipeline with accurate forecasting
- Working closely with internal sales teams to maximise opportunities and increase Managed Services penetration
- Leading proposal development, statements of work, and contract negotiations
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers around business transformation, agile working, and managed services adoption
- Collaborating with technical, delivery, and service teams to ensure successful project outcomes
The Candidate
You will be an experienced Managed Services sales professional with a proven track record of winning and growing recurring services revenue.
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Proven success selling IT Managed Services solutions
- Strong experience managing complex and consultative sales cycles
- A track record of exceeding revenue and margin targets
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders and decision makers
- Strong presentation and communication abilities
- The ability to build credibility with both business and technical audiences
- A self-motivated, proactive, and resilient approach
