About The Role

At AO, we’re all about making things simple, brilliant and personal for our customers and our people. As we continue to grow our B2B offering, we’re looking for a commercially-driven New Business Development professional to help shape and scale this exciting pillar of the business. In this full sales cycle B2B role you’ll be responsible for winning new commercial partnerships while also growing and retaining existing accounts to deliver profitable revenue. You’ll work with target organisations across a wide range of sectors, from charities and local housing authorities to estate agencies and large corporate businesses, acting as a true partner from first conversation, through onboarding, and long-term account growth and renewal. If you love winning new business and building long term commercial partnerships, we want to hear from you.

Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we’re together.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Identifying, winning and onboarding new B2B partnerships within your target markets.
  • Turning opportunities into revenue by delivering against agreed targets and forecasts.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for key clients, making sure they feel supported, valued and keen to keep working with AO.
  • Working closely with our Commercial, Trade and Supply teams to qualify opportunities and get the best performance from every account.
  • Bringing internal teams and external decision makers together to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing account management.
  • Producing and sharing clear, insightful weekly, monthly and quarterly performance and account updates.
  • Representing AO at exhibitions, networking events and industry forums, always putting our brand and values front and centre.
  • Building trusted, credible relationships with senior stakeholders across client organisations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We’re big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They’re our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it. But we’re more than that… For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from nearly ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it’s the exact same for our AOers too.
