Business Development Manager – People & Workplace Management

Why This Opportunity Excites You

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll take full ownership of growing our SaaS business—both new opportunities and existing customer relationships—in the UK public sector, focusing on People & Workplace Management.

This isn’t just sales; it’s about building trusted, long-term partnerships that help organisations transform how they serve citizens.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Play a strategic role in identifying and securing new UK public sector clients
  • Forge connections with key decision-makers and senior stakeholders
  • Deeply understand public sector pain points, positioning our workforce management solutions as mission-critical enablers
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals
  • Maintain an efficient sales pipeline in Salesforce, tracking engagement and adopting a data-driven approach
  • SaaS sales experience is essential
  • Passion for public sector transformation and digital innovation
  • Consultative selling, strong communication, and resilience to prioritise targets

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business across the UK public sector
  • Build lasting relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Align People & Workforce Management SaaS solutions to tackle public sector challenges
  • Oversee the full sales cycle (prospecting to closing deals)
  • Leverage Salesforce for pipeline management, engagement tracking, and performance reporting
  • Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, prioritising strategic partnerships
  • Full UK driving licence required for some travel responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven success in new business SaaS sales, ideally within the public sector
  • Demonstrated track record of consultative selling and relationship-building
  • Passion for improving public services through technology and innovation
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and used to working in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to communicate complex solutions clearly for executive level C-suite and technical teams
