Join Premier Foods — where people, brands and purpose come together.

We’re proud to be one of the UK’s largest listed food businesses, with over 4,000 colleagues across 13 sites shaping the future of some of Britain’s best-loved brands, found in 94% of households nationwide, making us one of the UK’s top three ambient food suppliers. From much-loved household names such as Mr Kipling, Bisto, Oxo, Batchelors and Sharwoods, to our recently welcomed brands Fuel10k and Merchant Gourmet, our portfolio is packed with iconic favourites — and continues to grow.

As Business Development Manager at Premier Analytical Services (PAS), you will play a pivotal role in growing our analytical testing and laboratory services by developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with customers across the food and related industries.

This is not a traditional product sales role. Instead, you'll work closely with our laboratory and technical teams to understand customers' analytical requirements, promote our extensive laboratory testing capabilities, and develop tailored service solutions that help them meet quality, safety and regulatory requirements.

Working collaboratively across the business, you'll identify opportunities to expand our analytical service offering, deliver sustainable commercial growth, and support the successful delivery of our Sales and Marketing Plan.

If you're passionate about combining technical understanding with commercial development and enjoy building long-term partnerships, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for driving the growth of Premier Analytical Services by:

  • Promoting PAS's analytical testing and laboratory services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Developing and delivering new business opportunities aligned with our laboratory capabilities and strategic growth objectives.
  • Building trusted relationships with customers, understanding their analytical testing requirements, and identifying solutions that add value.
  • Working closely with laboratory, technical and operational teams to ensure customer needs are translated into effective service delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining a sustainable five-year sales strategy aligned with business objectives and future laboratory capability.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand PAS into new markets and industry sectors where our analytical expertise can provide value.
  • Strengthening the PAS brand through targeted marketing and business development activities.
  • Collaborating with the Customer Service Manager to ensure a seamless customer journey from enquiry through to service delivery.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the Customer Services Team to maximise customer engagement and business opportunities.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging analytical requirements to identify future growth opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
