Business Development Manager - Vehicle Logistics & Conversion – NVD UK Lead (CRITICAL)
About NVD
A family-owned business established in 1980, National Vehicle Distribution (NVD) began as a solution provider for vehicle manufacturers, ensuring timely, incident-free distribution for their products.
Today, we’re a one-stop shop delivering three core pillars of outbound logistics:
- Transporting
- Storing
- Enhancing vehicles before delivery to end users
Since our foundation, NVD has pioneered technological innovation within the FVL (Fleet Vendor Logistics) industry. As early adopters, we’ve driven efficiencies that save customers time and money.
Our commitment to progress and continuous service improvement lies at the heart of our business model. Whether it’s logistics support, transformation, or end-to-end solutions, we’re dedicated to serving our customers with excellence.
The Role
We are recruiting a bold and driven Business Development Manager to grow NVD’s UK sales team.
Your core responsibility? Building and expanding a portfolio covering visual fleet management, conversion, and logistics for key partners:
- National rental operators
- Fleet leasing companies
- Fleet brokers
- Vehicle conversion partners
Your role will drive bookings and partnerships for new business, maintain great relationships with existing clients, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
As the business evolves, you may also contribute to additional sales verticals or help onboard new accounts beyond your primary focus.
Key Responsibilities
Hunting & Growth
- Proactively search for and secure new business within target sectors (rental fleets, leasing companies, brokers, conversions).
- Turn prospects into long-term commercial relationships through strategic outreach and winning deals.
Account Management
- Successfully manage and grow existing fleet accounts, with a priority on firming up our existing rental sector relationships.
- Ensure client retention through proactive engagement and service enhancement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
