About NVD:
A family-owned business, established in 1980, NVD was set up to assist vehicle manufacturers in the timely and incident-free distribution of their products. We’ve established ourselves as a one-stop shop providing the three main pillars of outbound logistics, including transporting, storing, and enhancing our customers’ vehicles, prior to delivery to their end location. Since 1980 NVD has been at the forefront of pioneering the digitisation of the FVL industry. As early adopters of emerging technology, we have been able to introduce huge efficiencies saving time and money for our customers. Our unwavering commitment to progress and continual service improvement remains at the heart of our business today.
The Role
We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join the NVD UK sales team. You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of accounts that fund, manage, or convert LCVs and passenger cars on behalf of others, with a primary focus on national rental operators, fleet leasing companies, fleet brokers, and conversion partners.
A key part of this role is identifying opportunities to cross-sell services from both our Core logistics division and NVD Convertor, offering customers a complete solution from vehicle compound and PDI through to bespoke LCV conversion. As the business and team grow, you may also be asked to support other customer verticals or take on additional accounts outside your primary focus.
What You Will Be Doing
- Hunting & Growth: Proactively finding and winning new business across national rental operators, leasing companies, fleet brokers, and conversion partners.
- Account Management: Managing and developing existing fleet accounts, with an immediate priority on our established relationships within the rental sector.
- Cross-Selling: Analysing customer accounts to identify opportunities to cross-sell vehicle preparation and logistics services from NVD Core alongside conversion solutions from NVD Convertor.
- Solution Selling: Working directly with fleet procurement teams, leasing account managers, and brokers to design logistics and vehicle packages that fit their specific requirements.
- Teamwork: Partnering with our transport, compound, and Convertor teams to ensure services are delivered smoothly and to the standard our customers expect.
- Flexibility: Supporting colleagues across other customer verticals where needed, and picking up new accounts or sectors as the sales structure develops.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
