Business Development Manager - Robatech North

Business Development Manager – Robatech Gluing Solutions

North of England / M62 Corridor

W H Leary Ltd is looking for a Business Development Manager to develop sales of Robatech adhesive application systems across the North of England.

This is a genuine business development role. The opportunity is to help build Robatech’s presence across an important manufacturing region, identify new customers, create new opportunities and win profitable new business.

The territory will focus mainly on the North of England, particularly around the M62 corridor and the North West / West Yorkshire manufacturing base. The ideal candidate will be based in or near Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, West Yorkshire or surrounding areas.

About Us

W H Leary Ltd is a specialist supplier of adhesive application, quality assurance and production monitoring solutions for packaging and manufacturing businesses.

We are the exclusive distribution partner for Robatech Gluing Solutions, a globally recognised manufacturer of high-quality adhesive application systems used by manufacturers around the world to apply hot melt and cold glue accurately, efficiently and reliably in demanding production environments.

Our customers operate in sectors such as packaging, converting, print, food and beverage, e-commerce, consumer goods and general manufacturing. We help them improve production performance, reduce waste, increase reliability and solve real production problems.

This is a strong product range with a clear value proposition. You will be selling high-quality technical systems that matter to customers who depend on reliable, efficient production.

The Role

As Business Development Manager – Robatech North, your main responsibility will be to identify, develop and win new customers across the North of England.

You will be expected to build your territory in a structured and professional way. That means researching potential customers, identifying decision-makers, planning your sales activity, developing opportunities, using CRM properly and managing a disciplined sales process from first contact through to order.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
