We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our ambitious and growing sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, commercially minded individual who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities and helping businesses achieve their goals through effective marketing strategies.
In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and managing a designated territory, identifying new business opportunities and building long-term partnerships with SMEs. You'll take a consultative approach, understanding each client's objectives and recommending tailored solutions from our award-winning digital advertising portfolio.
We're looking for someone with energy, drive and a genuine passion for sales. You'll be confident meeting clients face-to-face, developing new business opportunities and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing deals.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive revenue growth across your assigned territory through proactive business development activities.
- Generate new business opportunities through self-generated leads, referrals, networking and prospecting.
- Re-engage and develop lapsed customers using customer reports and market insights.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Maximise customer spend by identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell LOCALiQ's full suite of products and services.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through to proposal, negotiation and close.

Relationship Management
- Build strong, trusted relationships with local businesses and key decision-makers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and become a valued marketing partner to your clients.
- Develop long-term client relationships that drive repeat business and sustainable revenue growth.
- Work closely with Sales Managers and Directors to support wider commercial objectives and territory strategies.
- Monitor local market trends, customer activity and competitor movements to identify new opportunities.
Marketing Solutions & Client Engagement
- Conduct in-depth client research to understand business objectives, challenges and growth ambitions.
- Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to individual customer needs.
- Position LOCALiQ as a strategic marketing partner by delivering innovative, results-driven solutions.
- Build expert knowledge of LOCALiQ's extensive digital marketing portfolio and media products.
- Recommend effective multi-channel marketing campaigns backed by customer data and insight.
- Ensure all opportunities are professionally managed and accurately recorded within CRM systems.
Performance & Targets
- Achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets and KPI expectations.
- Maintain a highly motivated and results-focused approach.
- Ensure every customer interaction delivers value and maximises sales opportunities.
- Consistently demonstrate a proactive, solutions-led mindset.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven success in a B2B sales environment, ideally within digital marketing, media, advertising or solution-based sales.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to identify, develop and close new business opportunities.
- Excellent territory management and account development capabilities.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially astute with the ability to understand client challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Confident negotiating and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
