Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager – EMEA at Anord Mardix (Flex Company)
Anord Mardix, a globally recognised leader in critical power solutions, is part of Flex and specialises in switchgear and associated products for mission-critical and commercial applications—from data centres to corporate headquarters. With a mandate to expand our client base, we are seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth and enhance client relationships across the EMEA region, with a preference for a base in the London area.
About the Role
The Business Development Manager will be a key liaison between Anord Mardix and our clients, focusing on:
- supported growth of the EMEA business
- strengthening client relationships
- identifying and pursuing new opportunities
Reporting to the Head of Sales – EMEA, this role requires a proactive, strategically minded commercial and technical sales professional.
Key Responsibilities
Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Strategic Growth Plan and leadership stakeholders in achieving:
- Effective sales opportunity pipeline management aligned with company strategy.
- New partnership development in the EMEA region, including partner selection criteria.
- A targeted data centre provider and end-user account strategy.
- Mitigating low-margin service contracts impacting operational capacity.
- Tender proposal process management in collaboration with business units.
- Client service alignment with the Site Services Team to ensure competitive service delivery.
- Supplier agreements with key equipment vendors to maximise sales value.

- Market trend monitoring to develop innovative promotional strategies.
- Cross-team coordination with Site Services, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
Key Requirements
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 5 years in Technical Sales, preferably within a service-led industry.
- Demonstrated success in selling Critical Power products/services within:
- Hyperscale/Cloud, Co-Location, Hybrid, or Edge Compute data centres.
- Facilities Management sectors—advantageous.
- Proven ability to deliver sustainable growth in niche markets.
- Technical knowledge including:
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and electrical schematics.
- Proficient computer literacy, including:
- Advanced PowerPoint skills.
- CRM/ERP systems and sales cycle management principles.
Soft Skills

Travel
This role involves:
- Regular travel across the UK.
- Limited inter-regional travel in the EMEA region.
