Location: Home based
Salary: £36,549 – £56,079 (depending on experience) + commission + car allowance
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
The role
We’re looking for a results‑driven Business Development Manager to identify and secure new, industry‑specific business opportunities with an annual spend of £150k+. You’ll play a key role in driving growth by building strong customer relationships, developing market strategies, and securing high‑value logistics partnerships.
This is a strategic, commercially focused role, working closely with internal teams to deliver sustainable business growth.

What You’ll Do
Identify and secure new business opportunities with annual spends of £150k+ Develop and deliver business development strategies aligned to company objectives Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients Drive revenue growth through targeted outreach, negotiation and closing high‑value deals Research market trends, competitor activity and growth opportunities Represent CitySprint at industry events, conferences and networking events Prepare and present compelling proposals and solutions to senior decision‑makers Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product and wider teams to support growth Provide regular reporting on pipeline, activity and market insights to senior leaders Manage business development projects from initiation to delivery

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience winning and developing high‑value B2B/SME business (£150k+ accounts) Strong negotiation and closing skills within logistics or service‑led environments Strategic thinker with the ability to develop long‑term growth plans Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills Commercially astute with strong understanding of financial and margin impact Confident presenter, able to engage senior leaders and boards Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Demonstrated success delivering revenue and margin growth aligned to strategy
All successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
