Permanent Position – North West 36.5-hour week | Field-Based

The Role Description
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the successful candidate will support a network of independent retailers within the Independent estate. Your primary goal is to grow retailer profits by improving:
- Margin management
- Turnover growth
- Operational effectiveness
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Driving sales at both Wholesale and Retail levels, ensuring budgets are met or exceeded.
- Developing territory-specific marketing plans to promote and grow retail sales, aligning with the overall Marketing Strategy.
- Managing customer loyalty and purchasing targets across all commodities, ensuring retailers purchase through warehouses or central billing agreements.
- Analysing imagery loans, loyalty rebates, and using data to maximise sales and profitability.
- Monitoring retail development opportunities in your territory.
- Collaborating with Retail Services to deliver satisfactory outcomes on all projects.
- Developing SPAR neighbourhood store strategies to optimise performance.
- Advising on and reviewing retailer Profit & Loss accounts to guide undersund service. performance.
- Building and maintaining internal and external relationships, promoting Henderson Group’s reputation.
- Coaching and developing retailers to implement improvements that boost customer margins and reduce costs.
- Analysing the competitive marketplace to assess opportunities and threats.

Skills for Success
Minimum Criteria
- GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent) at Grade C (or above).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a store in food retail, Convenience, or Supermarket sectors.
- Experience in driving retail sales or purchases against budgets.
- Familiarity with the Northern Ireland food retail market.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid UK/EU driving licence.
Desirable Experience
- Sales or business development background with independent retailers in the food convenience sector.
- Ability to analyse Profit & Loss accounts.
Attributes Required

- Organisational and planning abilities (setting clear objectives).

- Full-time, 36.5-hour week.
- Working hours:
- Mon–Thu: 8:45 AM – 4:45 PM
- Friday: 8:45 AM – 3:45 PM
