Business Development Manager – Specialist Adult Social Care

£55,000 - £60,000 per annum + Commission + Bonus

Flexible Location – East Anglia

Overview

Compass Associates are delighted to be partnering with a growing specialist adult social care provider to recruit a Business Development Manager during an exciting period of sustained growth.

This is a newly created role, reporting directly into the senior leadership team, where you'll be responsible for increasing occupancy across a portfolio of specialist residential and supported living services while supporting the organisation's expansion into new geographical regions.

The organisation currently operates a number of specialist residential and supported living services for adults with complex needs, with several new developments planned across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Business Development professional looking to play a key role within an ambitious and expanding provider.

Responsibilities

  • Drive occupancy across the existing portfolio by securing new referrals and placements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities, ICBs, NHS commissioners, case management organisations and other key referral sources.
  • Identify new business opportunities to support expansion into new geographical regions.
  • Lead framework applications, tender submissions and commissioning opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure appropriate placements and successful service outcomes.
  • Support the successful launch and occupancy of new services across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.
  • Represent the organisation at networking events, conferences and commissioner meetings.
  • Monitor local market activity and identify opportunities to increase referrals and occupancy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
