We're looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager who thrives on winning new business. If you're motivated by opening doors, developing relationships, and turning prospects into long-term customers, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a field-based sales role focused on identifying new opportunities, generating leads, and securing maintenance contracts across your region. You'll have the autonomy to build your own pipeline while being supported by an experienced operational team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking and lead generation.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline to consistently achieve and exceed annual sales targets.
  • Identify opportunities to secure new lift service maintenance contracts across your territory.
  • Arrange and attend customer meetings, site visits and presentations with prospective clients.
  • Develop relationships with property managers, consultants, contractors and key decision-makers.
  • Prepare competitive quotations, proposals and tender responses.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and successfully close new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the regional service teams to ensure a seamless customer handover.
  • Keep CRM records and sales forecasts accurate and up to date.
  • Stay informed of competitor activity and market trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Join monthly team meetings onsite.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record of winning new business within a target-driven B2B sales environment.
  • Confident making outbound prospecting calls and developing new customer relationships.
  • Comfortable with cold calling, networking and generating your own leads.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated with the drive to exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Experience within the lift industry, construction or technical sales would be advantageous.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Must have a clean UK drivers license
  • Experience within the lift or construction industry would be beneficial.
  • We are looking for a motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
