Midlands-Based with UK Travel

£50,000 – £60,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager within contract logistics or 3PL, looking for your next opportunity? Do you enjoy winning new business, building senior-level relationships and managing complex sales cycles from first conversation through to contract award? If so, this could be a brilliant next step.

NterTalent are supporting a leading logistics business to recruit a Business Development Manager into their growing commercial team. This role will focus on identifying, developing and winning new business opportunities across key sectors including retail, grocery, FMCG, drinks, ecommerce and automotive.

You’ll be responsible for managing the full sales lifecycle, working closely with internal pricing, operations and solutions teams to create tailored proposals that deliver real value for customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across target sectors.
  • Building relationships with key decision-makers and senior stakeholders.
  • Leading customer conversations to understand requirements, challenges and future plans.
  • Managing RFQs, tenders and longer sales processes from start to finish.
  • Working closely with internal teams to develop tailored logistics solutions.
  • Creating and presenting strong commercial proposals.
  • Maintaining a healthy pipeline and delivering against revenue targets.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer internally to support service improvement and growth.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in business development within a 3PL, contract logistics or logistics environment.
  • Strong track record of winning new business.
  • Experience selling into sectors such as retail, grocery, FMCG, drinks, ecommerce or automotive.
  • Confident managing tenders, RFQs and complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams including pricing, operations and solutions.
  • Driven, credible and confident engaging with senior stakeholders.
