About Us
JONEX Global (JG) is a boutique strategy consulting and business development firm specializing in cross-border market entry and business expansion. We partner with international businesses to scale their commercial footprint, navigate complex industrial landscapes, and secure major contracts across the UK, EU, Japan, and the USA. As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for an ambitious, technically minded Business Development Manager to drive growth for our client portfolio, win new clients for JG, and eventually build out our regional business development team.
The Role
This is a dynamic, high-visibility role with a dual commercial focus:
- Client Growth & Delivery: You will act as a trusted commercial partner for JG’s clients, actively driving and expanding their sales pipeline into Tier 1 and Tier 2 OEMs across the UK and Europe.
- JG Business Development: You will act as a sole contributor hunting for and securing new Western-based prospect logos to join JONEX Global's client roster.
For the right candidate, this role offers a direct and rapid path to a senior leadership position, with the expectation that you will build and lead our UK/EU sales team as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities
- OEM Account Growth (For JG Clients): Manage key global client accounts and drive their commercial expansion by identifying, positioning, and securing design wins and high-value contracts within Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineering, manufacturing, and industrial OEMs in the UK and EU.
- New Logo Acquisition (For JG): Proactively target, pitch, and close new business opportunities with Western-based prospect companies looking to expand their global reach, securing them as new clients for JONEX Global.
- OEM Relationship Cultivation: Establish and maintain strong, consultative relationships with key decision-makers (engineering, procurement, and product management) at European OEMs.
- Technical Solution Selling: Understand complex technical requirements (specifically within mechanical/electrical engineering and interconnect technologies) and effectively position both our clients' solutions and JG's consulting services.
- Team Expansion & Leadership: Demonstrate the strategic mindset and leadership qualities necessary to transition from an individual contributor to a team leader, taking charge of hiring, training, and managing a growing UK/EU sales team in the near future.
- Remote & Travel Management: Work autonomously from a home office while managing a regular travel schedule to meet clients, attend industry expos, and visit partner facilities across the UK and Europe.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
