Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in either the North West or Midlands to cover a specified territory. This role is responsible for:

  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of prospects
  • Managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to close

  • Conducting meetings and presentations with potential clients
  • Preparing proposals and quotations
  • Collaborating with internal teams to tailor communications and IT solutions to client needs

The Business Development Manager will also:

  • Nurture existing relationships
  • Analyze market trends
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to support revenue growth

Qualifications

We are looking for a proven new business hunter with appointment support given.

  • Proven experience in new business development, sales within B2B environments, communications, or IT sales solutions essential.
  • Strong skills in relationship building, negotiation, and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence decision-makers at multiple levels.
  • Competence in lead generation, pipeline management, and CRM usage to track activities, opportunities, and performance.
  • Ability to understand and articulate digital transformation, business communications, and IT solution benefits in clear, customer-focused language.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confident presentation and proposal-writing abilities.
  • Comfort with data analysis and reporting to monitor KPIs, forecast sales, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven work style with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively off site, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and internal booking team.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth technology, telecoms, or IT services environment is advantageous.
