Senior Business Development Manager

Powercargo Logistics is looking for a high-performing, commercially astute Senior Business Development Manager to help drive our business forward. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who thrives on autonomy, has deep industry insight, and is eager to make a long-term impact.

This role suits a self-motivated, dynamic individual—someone who knows the freight game, understands where the opportunities lie, and wants to own the customer relationship from first contact to long-term success.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Winning and managing new business across all Powercargo services
  • Attracting constant new business reaping the benefits of uncapped commission
  • Developing and maintaining a sales pipeline worth at least 3x your gross profit target
  • Hitting activity KPIs consistent with freight industry standards
  • Quoting and negotiating independently before securing deals
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and customer needs

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years in a senior commercial role within freight forwarding or logistics
  • Strong market and commercial awareness across the UK and global freight landscape
  • Demonstrated success in building and converting a pipeline of new clients
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starting attitude with the confidence to work remotely and independently
  • A collaborative mindset that values the bigger picture

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in both Sea and Air freight forwarding
  • Experience with CargoWise One

Role Details

  • Location: Remote
  • Salary: Negotiable and competitive (not time-limited)
  • Contract: Permanent, Full Time
  • Annual Leave: 25 days + English bank holidays
