Business Development Manager – Geotechnical
Location: London (Hybrid, with travel as required)
Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 basic + Car + Bonus + Package
About the Company
The Resolute Group is proud to be retained on behalf of a global Geotechnical and Earthworks specialist, delivering full turnkey solutions across the UK and Ireland. With recent private equity investment, the company is poised for significant growth and is seeking a dynamic leader to drive its technical sales and market development strategy.
The Opportunity
Leading the Business Development and Sales team, you’ll take charge of the business’s technical sales, including identifying new clients, mining existing relationships, and developing a growth strategy, while leading an established team and identifying and pursuing new market sector opportunities.
- Working directly with the Managing Director, you’ll shape the company’s future building on a strong foundation to expand its presence across the Rail, Water, Highways, Ports, Environmental, and Construction sectors.
- Oversee the bidding and securing projects ranging from £50k to £10m+, working with the Operations team to ensure the business has the right resources to deliver the projects, based on location and skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the technical sales strategy across the UK.
- Grow market share and identify new revenue streams within existing and new client bases.
- Collaborate with the in-house Technical and Operational teams to support tenders and bids.
- Build long-term frameworks and partnerships, positioning the company as a market leader in geotechnical and ground engineering solutions.
- Identify quick wins, supporting larger Tier 1 organisations on a project by project basis.
- Report directly to the Managing Director, contributing to strategic business planning and growth initiatives.

About You
- Degree-qualified in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in geotechnical or ground stabilisation projects.
- Strong understanding of technical sales, business development, and client relationship management.
- Full UK driving licence.
Working Pattern
This role is based on developing and growing relationships, so very minimal office work, more focus on face-to-face meetings and going to meet and secure clients. As such, flexibility and autonomy are given for you to manage your diary and work with the MD on developing your clients and strategy.
