Company Description

YES Energy Solutions is a Community Interest Company with a strong social purpose, focused on reducing CO2 emissions and alleviating fuel poverty across the UK. The organization reinvests profits into community schemes that support the green economy, tackle climate change, and help individuals and organizations transition to low-carbon lifestyles. It works closely with local authorities, housing associations, businesses, and major energy companies to design and deliver carbon reduction programs that improve communities. YES Energy Solutions also offers free tailored energy advice to residents and operates an in-house installer division specializing in insulation, central heating, and renewable energy solutions.

Role Description

The Business Development Manager plays a key role in supporting the sustainable growth of YES Energy Solutions through proactive stakeholder engagement, account management, and opportunity development within the energy efficiency, retrofit, and publicly funded housing sectors. The primary focus of the role is to build new relationships across key stakeholders (local authorities, housing providers, funders, delivery partners, and commercial organizations) leading to new business opportunities and sustainable secured income. Work will be delivered through external engagement such as events, networking, one-to-one meetings, targeted presentations, and working/collaborating with other sector representatives.

IMPORTANT: This role will have main delivery areas, Midlands, East Anglia, and Greater Manchester, being located in these areas is a big preference.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
