Business Development Manager – UK, EMEA & MENA

We are seeking a self-reliant, proactive Business Development Manager to develop pipeline opportunities, conduct market reconnaissance, and convert qualified leads into RFPs across the UK, EMEA, and MENA regions. This hands-on, outward-facing role requires you to act as IA’s "eyes and ears"—spotting new prospects, cultivating relationships, and securing high-value opportunities.
### Location & Reporting
- Primary Location: London
- Focus: UK with responsibility extending to EMEA and MENA
- Travel: Regular travel across Europe and the Middle East required
- Reports To: EMEA Leadership Team and Studio Managing Director
### Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Opportunity Development
- Research, identify, and pursue new relationships with corporate occupiers, internal real estate teams, project managers, and decision-makers
- Discover new real estate opportunities, including lease expirations, breaks, relocations, and market expansions
- Proactively convert qualified leads into RFP opportunities
- Re-engage past IA clients and dormant relationships to surface new business
- Source EMEA opportunities using IA’s global and US client databases

Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Provide continuous insights into the London, UK, EMEA, and MENA real estate markets
- Advise leadership on BD strategy, client targeting, and event priorities
- Develop and recommend speaking engagements, PR initiatives, awards submissions, and special events
Relationship Building & Networking
- Identify and prioritise high-value networking events and industry forums
- Coordinate meet-and-greets between IA leadership and key prospects
- Manage executive BD calendars, ensuring time is applied to high-impact opportunities
- Introduce IA to decision-makers across the London, EMEA, and MENA markets
Pipeline Management & Tracking
- Own and maintain weekly pipeline reviews with leadership
- Apply structured lead qualification, ensuring a focus on viable deals
- Maintain consistent follow-ups to nurture an active, robust pipeline
Collaboration & Global Alignment
- Work closely with US client services teams to capitalise on global connections
- Develop a deep understanding of IA’s brand, services, and business model for market representation
- Tailor BD strategies to the UK, EMEA, and MENA markets, considering procurement models, culture, and decision-making norms

### Key Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in business development (real estate, workplace design, architecture, project management, or related professional services)
- Strong London market knowledge and the ability to build or leverage existing networks
- Experience working across international markets (EMEA and MENA preferred)
- Self-starter mindset with experience identifying opportunities independently
- Excellent lead organisation, pipeline management, and reporting skills
- Confident communicator capable of articulating IA’s brand, services, and value proposition
- Comfortable initiating conversations at events and nurturing relationships from scratch
