Business Development Manager - Automotive SaaS Sales

Location: Field based - occasional travel to London, regular travel to client sites

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £70,000 base + OTE (depending on experience)

Our client is a rapidly expanding automotive technology and SaaS business, backed by US venture capital and operating globally. They're looking for a proven new business hunter to build a pipeline of new opportunities across the UK dealer ecosystem. Automotive industry experience is essential. This is a pure new business role, so if you thrive on opening doors and winning new logos, not managing existing relationships, read on.

The business is in an exciting growth phase, expanding its product suite through innovation and strategic acquisitions. They foster a culture of autonomy, accountability and commercial excellence, attracting self-directed professionals who are curious, resilient and entrepreneurial.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a new business pipeline through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, trade events and referrals
  • Engage across the full dealer ecosystem — Marketing, Sales and Aftersales Directors — positioning solutions as revenue-generating tools
  • Conduct discovery calls and on-site meetings to qualify and close opportunities
  • Manage the full sales cycle independently from first contact through contract execution
  • Lead sales conversations using value and ROI frameworks, backed by data and case studies
  • Use AI tools daily for prospect research, stakeholder intelligence and pitch preparation
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in HubSpot with disciplined forecast reporting

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
