Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a global leading firm. This role will play a key part in developing and executing business development and marketing strategies that strengthen client relationships, drive revenue growth and enhance the firm's profile across key sectors. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll lead strategic initiatives, oversee high-value bids and campaigns and mentor junior members of the team within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced Business Development professional currently operating at Business Development Manager or Senior Business Development Executive level within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver strategic business development plans to strengthen client relationships, generate new opportunities and support revenue growth across key practice areas.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, advising on client strategy, market opportunities, value propositions and business-winning initiatives.
  • Lead the development of high-quality pitches, proposals, credentials and client-facing materials to support new business opportunities.
  • Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns, thought leadership, events and profile-raising initiatives that enhance brand awareness and commercial impact.
  • Lead, mentor and develop junior Business Development team members, promoting collaboration, commercial thinking and high performance.
  • Manage multiple projects, budgets and cross-functional initiatives while collaborating with wider marketing and business development teams to deliver a joined-up client experience.

Key Requirements & Experience

  • Proven Business Development experience within a professional services environment is essential, with previous experience supporting senior stakeholders and driving business growth.
  • Demonstrable experience developing client relationships, leading pitches and delivering strategic business development initiatives that generate measurable results.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify market opportunities and translate strategy into practical, revenue-generating activity.
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members, with a collaborative leadership style and a passion for developing others.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working alongside senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organised with exceptional project management skills, able to manage competing priorities while delivering work to a consistently high standard.
