About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven sales professional to develop and grow a strong pipeline of opportunities across a defined territory. You will work with established product ranges, building relationships with a diverse customer base and driving specification-led sales activity.

This role focuses on managing both existing accounts and winning new business. A key part of success will be securing end-client purchase order estimates and influencing food service product specifications, while also fostering relationships with M&E, FM, Maintenance, Fit Out contractors, and specialised distribution channels. Including catering and key merchant partners such as PTS and BSS. A critical aspect of your responsibilities will involve identifying and disrupting competitive specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain product specifications to support sales across defined ranges
  • Deliver engaging product presentations and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders including installers, contractors, and project influencers
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies and expand business growth
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to represent the business and generate leads
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams to drive specification sales across new and existing accounts
  • Maintain a strong commercial focus to achieve sales targets and business objectives
  • Develop strategic approaches to win business in competitive environments
  • Respond promptly to incoming leads and follow up on quotations within agreed timescales
  • Track, analyse, and report on sales performance, including wins and losses
  • Provide regular updates on sales activity, identifying opportunities and risks
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer records are maintained within company CRM systems

About You

  • Proven experience in a similar sales or specification role
  • Strong understanding of working with merchant channels and managing commercial agreements
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels within an organisation
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability for results
  • Excellent customer focus and decision-making confidence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage customer data and insights
