Join our dynamic Business Development Manager team in Leeds, which is also part of a national team of BDM’s. It's an exciting period at Quilter Cheviot, with a strong Modern MPS proposition and Climate Asset Funds boasting over 12 years of history. In addition to this, collaborate with our talented Investment Managers on discretionary and AIM services, for clients with complex needs.
The ideal candidate should be based in or local to Leeds, have good knowledge of financial advice and advisers, possess at least a level 4 industry qualification, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit to explore new opportunities in this growing geographical area. This role offers an exciting challenge for an experienced BDM.

Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales - North, you will collaborate with the Investment Management teams to attract new investment clients through Financial Advisers in the Leeds region. Your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting Quilter Cheviot's discretionary investment proposition, Sustainable Opportunity Funds, MPS solution, AIM portfolio, and other relevant services to financial advisers located in the Leeds Region.
- Establishing an annual target with the Head of Business Development - Advice for introducing new investment management business.
- Meeting the new business target and any other relevant key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Supporting the Leeds region by driving new business opportunities.
- Coordinate and agree with the Head of North Sales and Head of Business Development - Advice the selection of primary target introducers and assign suitable recipient investment managers for new discretionary investment management services.
- To agree with Head of North Sales the methods and direction of sales initiatives.
- Regularly provide reports to the Head of North Sales and Head of Business Development - Advice using the standardised format.
- Develop and actively use a business plan template (with guidance from the Head of North Sales) to classify advisers in the region for concentrated efforts.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with Financial Advisers, primarily focusing on onboarding new advisers and opening accounts that have not previously engaged with Quilter Cheviot.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both Financial Advisers and Quilter Cheviot Investment Managers.
- Attend business development meetings as required.
- Maintain regular communication with local Investment Directors, Investment Managers, and the Sales Management Team.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products and services, understanding when they are appropriate for existing and prospective clients.
- Keep clear and precise records of contacts and visits and ensure the corporate CRM system is consistently up-to-date.

Consumer Duty
Even though this role doesn't directly interact with the end customers, you need to understand our target market and evaluate the value of each service for financial advisers to ensure positive customer outcomes.
About You
We are seeking a proven Business Development Manager with expertise in the financial adviser sector.
The position demands that the candidate independently manage their workload, with bi-weekly oversight from their immediate manager.
Strong self-organization skills and a sense of personal responsibility are crucial.
The role involves close collaboration with marketing, investment management teams, and the wider intermediary sales team across all offices.

- At least an industry Level 4 qualification – CISI, CFA or equivalent
