About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a dynamic commercial sales team within the events and conventions sector. This role focuses on driving new business growth, securing profitable event opportunities, and developing strong relationships with agencies, organisers, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through agencies, event organisers, and corporate customers
- Build and nurture strategic relationships that drive long-term commercial growth
- Create and implement proactive sales plans aligned with business objectives and market opportunities
- Negotiate commercially sound agreements that deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing solutions that enhance event success and value
- Generate new business through targeted prospecting, partnerships, networking, and sales campaigns
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales reports to support effective planning and performance management

About You
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated business development professional with a proven ability to win new business and develop strategic partnerships.
You will demonstrate:
- A strong track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering consistent revenue growth
- Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to identify and convert high-quality opportunities
- Experience developing and executing successful sales strategies and account plans
- A proactive, resilient, and results-focused approach to business development
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong negotiation and consultative selling capabilities
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in business development either in events or office space
- Experience generating new business and growing client relationships
- Strong organisational and pipeline management skills
- Confidence influencing senior decision-makers and key stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for driving business growth
