Business Development Manager(New Energies)
It’s a particularly exciting time to be joining CIU, a SES Energy Company, as we move through a significant growth phase and continue to strengthen our position in the market.
Reports To: Commercial Director
Location: Flexible
Employment Type: Full-time
Candidate Profile Experience: Proven business development or sales experience in the Water Treatment Industry and New Energies Sector (Nuclear, Hydrogen, CCUS, Geothermal) . Strong network across operators, service companies, Chemical vendors and EPC contractors. Ideal candidate would have production chemistry knowledge, have worked for Chemical vendor or CIU competitor Track record of delivering revenue growth and securing new contracts. Experience selling technical, engineering, or industrial products and services. Personal attributes: Entrepreneurial and results-driven. Credible communicator with senior industry stakeholders. Collaborative and team-oriented. Resilient and adaptable in a competitive market. Qualifications Degree desirable, not essential. Relevant sales or technical industry experience preferred. Full driving licence. Willingness to travel regularly. Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion for the CIU Product Line. The role focuses on identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities, expanding existing client revenue, and building strong customer and partner relationships. The position supports the execution of the global commercial strategy at a regional level, ensuring robust pipeline management, disciplined commercial execution, and effective customer engagement.

Main Responsibilities Sales Performance Deliver annual revenue targets, KPIs and SMART objectives. Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities to drive revenue growth. Actively progress opportunities through the full sales cycle to maximise conversion. Maintain a healthy pipeline coverage ratio to support forecasts. Pipeline & Opportunity Management Build and manage a high quality sales pipeline aligned with product line strategy. Ensure accurate CRM updates for opportunities, activities, and forecasting. Participate in regular pipeline reviews with the Commercial Manager. Support Key Account Plans for strategic clients. Customer & Partner Development Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and strategic partners. Identify and onboard new customers and channel partners. Conduct customer and partner visits to identify and advance opportunities. Commercial Execution Support preparation of commercial proposals, bids, and tenders. Contribute to pricing, negotiation, and closing of strategic deals. Ensure commercial discipline and adherence to governance. Market Development & Intelligence Identify new markets, applications, and sector opportunities for CIU solutions. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Provide feedback on competitor activity, customer requirements, and market trends. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Commercial teams to support opportunity development and delivery. Ensure alignment between customer expectations and operational capability. Coordinate with Marketing to shape appropriate messaging for local markets. Compliance & HSEQ Adhere to company policies, procedures, and HSEQ requirements. Demonstrate safe working practices in all activities.

Strong commercial, negotiation, and deal closing skills. Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship building capability. Ability to translate technical solutions into customer value propositions. Highly organised with ability to manage multiple opportunities. Self motivated, proactive, and results focused. Personal Attributes High initiative and drive. Strong customer focus. Results oriented with clear focus on revenue delivery. Able to work independently while collaborating across teams.
