Business Development Partner – Cambridge, Norfolk, East Midlands, Yorkshire & North East
Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS), specialists in providing solutions and building materials for the Public Sector, including Housing Associations and Local Authorities, is seeking a Business Development Partner to cover:
- Cambridge
- Norfolk
- East Midlands
- Yorkshire
- North East
Essential Requirement: Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.
About the Role
At JPS, we focus on building strong partnerships, delivering innovative solutions, and driving long-term growth within the Public Sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional who thrives in new business development, relationship-building, and strategic partnerships capable of delivering tangible customer value.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities in the social housing and public sector markets
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers, positioning JPS as a trusted partner
- Developing innovative, evidence-based proposals that enhance value and efficiency for customers
- Managing a robust pipeline of business opportunities via effective CRM management
- Collaborating internally with Bids, Estimating, Operations, and Partnerships teams to deliver winning customer solutions
- Supporting contract mobilisation, retention, and ongoing customer engagement
- Repisting JPS at industry events, customer functions, and networking opportunities
- Advocating social value initiatives that strengthen community impact and partnerships
- Monitoring market trends, customer insights, and commercial performance to drive growth opportunities

Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships in a customer-facing environment
- Preference given to candidates with Public Sector or social housing sector knowledge
- Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record of profitable growth
- Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels, internally and externally
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with adept CRM and reporting management
- Experience collaborating with multiple business functions
- Solid understanding of public sector procurement processes and commercial agreements
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
Desirable:
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with resilience for fast-paced environments
