Business Development Partner – Public Sector & Social Housing
Location: Cumbria, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, South Wales Contract: Permanent All applicants must hold a full UK driving licence
Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS), specialists in customised solutions and building materials for the Public Sector, including Housing Associations and Local Authorities, now seek an ambitious Business Development Partner.

What You’ll Be Doing

Proactive Business Growth:
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within social housing and public-sector markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, establishing JPS as a trusted partner.

Strategic Solutions Delivery:
- Develop innovative, evidence-based proposals that enhance customer efficiency and value while meeting their needs.
- Support contract mobilisation, retention, and ongoing engagement to sustain long-term growth.

Collaborative & Strategic Work:
- Work closely with internal teams (Bids, Estimating, Operations & Partnerships) to ensure seamless delivery of customer solutions.
- Study market trends, customer insights, and commercial performance to pinpoint growth opportunities.
- Represent JPS at industry events, expos, and networking sessions, both regionally and nationally.

- Operational Excellence:
- Maintain a robust pipeline via CRM management (preferably Salesforce).
- Champion social-value initiatives (e.g., community support, partnerships, sustainability) to deepen customer bonds.
What We’re Looking For

Industry Experience:
- Proven expertise in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within a Public Sector or social housing environment (preferred but not mandatory).

Commercial & Leadership Skills:
- A strong commercial track record with experience driving profitable growth.
- Exceptional ability in communication, negotiation, presentation, and influencing—capable of engaging at all levels (internally/externally).

Operational & Personal Attributes:
- Excellent relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration across multiple business functions.
- Robust organisation and prioritisation, demonstrating expertise in CRM systems, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Confidence navigating public-sector procurement processes and managing commercial agreements.

- A results-driven, proactive mindset with resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt and identify opportunities from data, market shifts, and emerging trends.
