About the Role
Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) specialises in delivering solutions and building materials to the Public Sector, including Housing Associations and Local Authorities. We are seeking a driven Business Development Partner to grow our nearest market, foster strategic partnerships, and drive long-term value for our customers.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in new business development, loves building lasting relationships, and derives satisfaction from creating innovative, solution-led partnerships.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across social housing and public sector markets
- Building deep relationships with key decision-makers to position JPS as a trusted partner
- Developing evidence-led proposals that deliver cost efficiencies and measurable value for customers
- Managing and nurturing a high-priority pipeline of opportunities through effective CRM management
- Collaborating with internal teams (Bids, Estimating, Operations, and Partnerships) to deliver winning customer solutions
- Supporting contract mobilisation, retention, and ongoing engagement strategies
- Representing JPS at exhibitions, customer events, and industry networking opportunities
- Championing social value initiatives that support communities and strengthen customer relationships
- Monitoring market trends, customer insights, and commercial performance to identify growth opportunities

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
✔ Proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships in a customer-facing environment ✔ Experience in Public Sector or social housing is strongly preferred ✔ Strong commercial acumen with a track record of profitable growth ✔Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills ✔ Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels (internal and external) ✔ Excellent organisational skills, able to manage opportunity pipelines, priorities, and reporting ✔ Experience working collaboratively across multiple business functions ✔ Good understanding of public sector procurement processes and commercial agreements ✔ Confidence in using Microsoft Office packages and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) ✔ Proactive, results-driven mindset with resilience for a fast-paced environment
