Role Description
The Business Development Relationship Director – Real Estate Insurance is a full-time, on-site role based in London. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the real estate insurance market, building and maintaining strong relationships with property owners, investors, asset managers, and other stakeholders. - Developing and executing business plans
- Generating and qualifying leads
- Preparing and delivering client proposals
- Overseeing contract negotiations to secure profitable partnerships

The role also involves:
- Managing key accounts
- Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
- Collaborating with broking and underwriting teams
- Representing the firm at industry events and meetings
The Director is expected to contribute to strategic growth initiatives and provide market insights that support product development and positioning.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in New Business Development and Lead Generation within insurance, financial services, or real estate.
- Connectivity - has a strong real estate client network/pipeline, proven client connectivity and can successfully close business.
- Strong Business Planning capabilities, including market analysis, pipeline management, and growth strategy execution.
- Proven skills in Contract Negotiation, with the ability to structure and secure complex commercial agreements.
- Experience in Account Management, with a track record of deepening client relationships and driving retention and expansion.
- Solid understanding of real estate insurance products, risk management principles, and the UK and Pan-European property markets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills.
- Relevant professional background in insurance broking, real estate, or financial services; industry qualifications (e.g., CII) are an advantage.
