Business Development Representative – Application Security
Location: London (3 days per week in-office, flexible remote days) Direct reports to: Sales Leadership Team
About the Role
Joining Veracode – a global leader in Application Security, trusted by organizations worldwide to safeguard secure software across the AI era.
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll drive revenue growth through high-impact prospecting, lead qualification, and opportunity creation. You’ll engage with target accounts in Veracode’s high-growth security segment, leveraging cutting-edge tools like trillions of lines of code scans and AI-driven remediation engines to drive adoption of the Veracode platform.
Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Execute multi-threaded outbound prospecting to build pipeline for Field Sales Teams
- Identify and engage decision-makers and stakeholders using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and CRM platforms
- Qualify inbound inquiries (via webform, email, phone) to determine intent and fit

Lead Acceleration & Routing:
- Review, evaluate, and classify marketing-generated leads against engagement criteria
- Route qualified leads to Inside Sales or Field Teams per predefined rules
- Ensure timely follow-ups and seamless handoffs to maintain momentum

Sales Collaboration & Support:
- Collaborate with sales managers, enablement, and partners to refine outbound strategies
- Develop strong product knowledge of Veracode’s solutions and value proposition
- Align messaging with customer pain points in application security and cloud deployment
- Partner with AI/Application Security analysts to co-develop compelling narratives

- Process & Performance:
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records, tracking all CRM activity, customer insights, and dialogues
- Continuously benchmark and improve prospecting methodologies and conversion rates
- Contribute to data-driven reporting on pipeline development and growth metrics
** Requirements**
- 0–1 years of sales or business development experience (candidates from other disciplines with proven proactivity and relationship-building skills welcome)
- Eligibility to work in the UK (3 days per week in Verbico’s London office)
- Legal to work in the UK (visa rights as needed)

- Excellent verbal/written communication – Genuinely inspirational and engaging demeanour
- Tech-savvy with strong familiarity with:
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ** 있으고** दु: LinkedIn Sales Navigator** and other CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
- Outbound prospecting: using standard outreach sequences, templates, and multi-stakeholder targeting
- Problem-solving mindset – Identifies gaps and adapts messaging for different stakeholders
