Business Development Representative

Business Development Representative – San Francisco, CA (Full-Time, On-Site)
Corgi seeks a Business Development Representative to drive growth by identifying prospects, nurturing client relationships, and building a robust sales pipeline. This proactive role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop strategic initiatives and execute high-impact growth plans.
Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Identify and engage target clients through outbound prospecting, networking, and market research.
- Conduct cold outreach (including email/SMS/calls) to qualify leads and secure meetings.

Sales Pipeline & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain hwalding CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Foster long-term relationships with clients to build trust and identify growth opportunities.

Market Research & Analytics
- Research industry trends and competitors to uncover market gaps and high-value opportunities.
- Collaborate with Product/Research teams to refine offerings and position Corgi’s solutions effectively.

Revenue Growth & Strategy Support
- Assist in the development and execution of go-to-market strategies in partnership with sales leadership.
- Measure and optimise performance against sales targets while refining closure techniques.
Requirements
Essential
- Solution-driven sales aptitude: Proven experience in lead generation, conversion, and revenue acceleration.
- Sales enablement: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) and sales automation tools.
- Outbound calling: Strong track record with cold calling and hostage deals-something [cold emailing].
- Stellar interpersonal skills: Ability to build rapport, negotiate, and close clients from diverse sectors.
- Tenacity & resilience: Passionate about sales with a penchant for chasing growth—startups demand persistence!

Preferred
- Bachelor’s in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in financial services, technology SaaS, or AI-driven industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory landscapes (e.g., FinTech/AI compliance) simplifies onboarding.
- Fluent in Enriching industry go-to-market language a bonus; tech/FinTech terms a defensive angle.
Nice-to-Haves
- Success with inbound-to-outbound in a B2B context (e.g., upgrading SQL leads, nurturing SPOFs with POCs).
- Awareness of artificial intelligence or financial markets—great for discussing Corgi’s mission edge cases.
- Genuine passion for expanding a transformational tech venture—you’ll live and breathe inclusive growth metrics.
